Unlocked (Alexandra Stan album)

}}
''Unlocked'' is the second studio album recorded by the Romanian singer Alexandra Stan. It was released on August 27, 2014 through Victor Entertainment and was a follow-up to her internationally successful album ''Saxobeats'' (2011). Stan collaborated with several record producers on the album, including Andreas Schuller, Sebastian Jacome, Chrishan Prince, Erik Lidbom and Gabriel Huiban.
The music of ''Unlocked'' draws from the EDM and dance-pop styles of her previous material. It also incorporates different forms of instrumentation from her previous releases, such as Bhangra and Caucasus. ''Unlocked'' received generally positive reviews from music critics, including praise for its songs as "catchy" and "infectious". The record was also criticised for having many similarities with Britney Spears's ''Britney Jean'' album.
After its release, ''Unlocked'' became a great commercial success in Japan, where it entered the Oricon Albums Chart in the top-thirty. Five tracks from the album were released as singles. Two tracks—"Cherry Pop" and "Dance"—entered the Japanese iTunes singles chart at number one. The album was heavily promoted during Stan's ''Unlocked Tour''〔(【引用サイトリンク】title=Alexandra Stan — Japan Tour )〕 and ''Cherry Pop Summer Tour''.〔(【引用サイトリンク】title=Cherry Pop Summer Tour )〕 On the tour, she performed in Russia, Mexico, Japan and Turkey. Stan also made appearances at the Girls Awards (Tokyo, Japan), Zip FM's 21st-anniversary party (Nagoya, Japan) and the Jolly Joker Club (Ankara, Turkey).
==Background and development==

After releasing her album ''Saxobeats'' in 2011, Stan started to record new material for a new full-length record with Marcel Prodan and Andrei Nemirschi, her long-time producers, songwriters and managers.〔 "Lemonade", "Cliché (Hush Hush)" and "All My People" were subsequently released worldwide and were intended for her second studio album.〔 The record was intended for release in September 2013; this did not happen, however, following an incident between Prodan and Stan.〔 Stan accused Prodan of beating her up after she asked for her revenues.〔Citations regarding the Marcel Prodan case:

''Cliché (Hush Hush)'', Stan's last album under Prodan's label Maan Records, was released in October 2013.〔 It was a re-issue of ''Saxobeats'' with the addition of the three songs intended for Stan's second studio album. ''Cliché (Hush Hush)'' was only released in Japan; it failed to gain much success, although it did enter the top 60 on the Oricon Albums Chart. In late 2013, Alexandra Stan continued the work on her second studio album with new producers and songwriters, including Alex Cotoi and Erik Lidbom.〔 She also switched from Prodan's label and signed a new deal with Fonogram Records. "Thanks for Leaving", the first single from ''Unlocked'', was released on April 28, 2014.〔 In the following four months, Stan released three more singles under Roton and Fonogram Records.〔 A song-writing camp named ''Fonocamp'' was organised in Azuga, Romania, where Stan worked on ''Unlocked'' with fellow Romanian singers and producers.
